Last week, I caught up with my paddle buddy Mike Malone—retired military, ultra-endurance coach, and co-founder of 10th Life Kayaking. At 65, he’s still coaching paddlers like Salli, who regularly dominates 1,000-mile races and once paddled 340 miles with zero sleep.
Mike isn’t just another weekend warrior. He’s made paddling his 10th sport, and everything he does, from raking leaves to crushing water miles, is part of a broader lifestyle focused on longevity, performance, and smart training.
